Pray for Venezuela                                  

I want to tell you about the country where I was born. My country is Venezuela.

Venezuela is a beautiful country, the people are very friendly, the cultural life is very important on different places of the country, there are also bad things in the city, for example, the political system is very bad, the cost of living is high. The situation on these days in my country is unfortunate and this is the reason why I decided to write about it.

Now in Venezuela there is a Government that has increased all the bad things inside the country, like crime, drug trafficking, poverty, hunger, corruption, and many more. Diosdado Cabello, is the president of the National Assembly he was recently accused as the head of the “Cartel de Los Soles” and responsible for drugs trafficked from Venezuela to Europe and other countries.

United States opened a line investigation to different officials of Venezuela by the aforementioned “Cartel”. In addition, it is important to mention that not only it is the cocaine traffic also is the money laundering and the corruption that is handled by senior positions in the Government.

On the other hand, Venezuela has many economic problems; The Dollar price is high and the oil price is going down, popular sectors suffer this due to that the inflation increase and the price of products are going up day by day. For the Venezuelan is very difficult to buy the basics products to eat, the lines to buy in the supermarkets are very huge and foodstuffs basic are scarce.

In February of last year, the Venezuelans took  the streets to protest against the regime of Nicolas Maduro. The president sack the army to the streets to suppress the protest, during the protest many students died and a good number of politician are  prisoners in Venezuelan jails.

The most important event was the detention of Leopoldo López, opposition leader of Venezuela, he is now a political prisoner. The arrest of Leopoldo was without evidence, based on allegations invented, at the direction of a government anxious to silence the opposition movement. López graduated from Harvard is the most noted victim of arbitrary and injustice, but he is not alone. Other noted prisoners include Daniel Ceballos and many more innocents.

Currently in Venezuela has the crime now increased  and the Government doesn’t do anything to solve this important problem. Life is worthless, the people kill for a phone or food; is incredible the  marginality rate and poverty increases every day.

When I think in my country, the feeling is incredible and I want to go back but then I remember all these problems and I say that now is not the time. Here is where I should be by now  to give a better future to my son.

Venezuela needs help from the presidents of other countries. Maybe is necessary an intervention to solve these problems. You can see the situation in my country in external newspapers or on TV. The national newspapers are quiet in the critical situation of the country that generates income to many other countries. The petroleum of Venezuela is sold only to a few countries and is given away to different countries in the world The government prefers to have  ignorant and poor people, that to have another government against.

Venezuelans will continue to fight for our freedom and we will not rest until get it. Governments worldwide must understand that poverty of people does have not positive results for humanity.
